Douglas Cooney

Doug Cooney is an award-winning writer and educator in Los Angeles. His novels have been published by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers and translated into Japanese and Korean. He received an Emmy nomination and Parents’ Choice Awards for his work with Nickelodeon Films, SONY Animation, Disney Channel and Fox Television. His theater work has been produced by the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center Institute, Mark Taper Forum, South Coast Rep, and Sundance Theater Labs, among others. Cooney has taught at Chapman University for more than ten years.
